The Life Centre
A community based centre based on Bierley House Avenue in central Bierley and run by Bierley Community Association Ltd., a registered charity (1137347), employs 5 part time workers and 20 volunteers.
Their vision is "working in partnership to bring the community together - creating hope , realising potential and changing lives". Services are designed to help members of the community improve their health and well-being through building friendships, sports and exercise, developing skills and finding a listening ear.
They offer a range of activities for a every age group and the rooms and hall are also for hire.
How Bradford City Challenge Foundation has helped
Funding towards the OPAL project has helped reduce social isolation amongst older people on the Bierley estate by bringing them together at various times throughout the week.
