E:merge BradfordA youth work charity with a mission to inspire young people to transform their lives, at home, in school and on the streets. The charity employs 12 full time staff, 10 part time staff and has 30 volunteers.

Working in disadvantaged communities in partnership with local community groups, churches and schools they help to create a Community Hub of youth work in each area. the aim is to develop a long-term, relational approach aiming to see young people become physically and mentally healthier, more engaged in school, more confideent socially and (where relevant) receive the chance to explore faith in a supportive community.

Activities are spread across 5 days per week and reach over 300 individuals per week in the Bradford City Challenge area.

How Bradford City Challenge Foundation has helped

Funding has supported growth in the number of people engaged in positive group work. This has resulted in a growth of confidence in young people to plan and deliver activities and an increase in positive communication and friendship between different groups in BD4.
