United Churches Healing Ministry
A counselling, counsellor training and resource centre employing 2 full time and 2 part time staff alongside 57 volunteers.
The aim is to promote health and wellbeing by providing low cost, professional, long term counselling to help affect real life change so that people can live their lives to their full potential.
The service is avalable to all people over the age of 16, irrespective of faith.
Services available include:
- Counselling, which is available to anyone over 16 years of age either by self-referral or referral from other agencies such as doctors and mental healthservices
- Training, including a number of certificated courses for counselling, with course fees kept as low as possible.

Funded the creation of 2 therapeutic counselling rooms at the Life Centre, Bierley.
